Parcels of just over 2 ha in the municipalities of Casa del Bosco (BI) and Sostegno (BI), characterised by 40 years age grape vines trained with Guyot system, flanked by new rooted vines recently planted. The best grapes of Nebbiolo, Croatina, Vespolina and Uva Rara are used for Bramaterra doc “Gervasio” and Coste della Sesia doc Rosso “Leandro”.
The area, which is part of the “Rive Rosse” area, has brown/reddish sands and large blocks of quartz porphyry sabbie brune e grandi blocchi di porfido quarzifero
Gattinara and
Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo
7000 meters in the municipality of Gattinara, characterised by 40 years age grape vines trained with Guyot system, flanked by new rooted vines recently planted. Here we produce a careful selection of grapes used for Gattinara docg “Timoteo” and Coste della Sesia Doc Nebbiolo “Sandrìn”. Gattinara’s hills are composed by rocky sediments of volcanic origin, such as quartz and porphyry, position and excellent exposure help prevent diseases caused by stagnation in rainy years thanks to an excellent natural drainage of water ensuring excellent health of the grapes even in adverse weather conditions.
